I have purchased several other "Most beautiful villages o. .35 villages are featured, grouped by departement. The sections cover the Vaucluse and Bouches-du-Rhone, Var and Alpes-Maritimes, and nce.over the years but none is as exquisite as this one. A must for all Provence fans and travellers.

The entire series of "The Most Beautiful Villages" are worth their price. The Thames & Hudson versions of The Most Beautiful are truly the best presentations in terms of photo choices and photographs. These series of photographs are truly inspiring and might best serve in learning how to take great pictures of your travels. We were not disappointed as the descriptions were accurate and just the environments we were looking to visit. The book is a treasure now with lots of margin notes and dates we visited.

Profiles of over 30 village gems make up the four main sections of this book.

Traditional architecture, as well as dramatic natural settings of which the buildings often seem to be an organic part, mark these places as being among the most unspoilt in Europe. Profiles of over 30 village gems make up the four main sections of this book.

I saw this book in a doctor's office library. A dear friend of mine is from Spain, and she has shared such wonderful stories of her time growing up and living in Spain. I borrowed the book from the doctor's office, with permission of course, and brought it to her to look at thinking she might enjoy it. She loved it so much she asked me to order a copy for her! It has stories, sort of a history of Spain and beautiful photography! Great book, large, beautiful.

This was bought as a gift, but it was opened in my presence so I was able to look at it as well. The pictures are even better than I had hoped. The color is vibrant and the descriptions are interesting. Our daughter had wanted to go to Spain, but it doesn't seem as if that will happen, so we bought this as a way for her to experience Spain without leaving home. The book was all and more than I had hoped it would be.

Very nice coffee table book! Nice covers and pictures as well as ellaborate texts. The book also manages to show the incredible diversity in landscapes and cultures coexisting in Spain. Only complaint would be that no village from the amazingly beautiful Canary Islands is featured in it! Please include one for the next edition

I found the book full of beautiful pictures and great descriptions. Its not a travel book but that not what it supposed to be. You'll find many towns not on the most common travel stops, which makes it great and shows the true beauty of Spain.

The photography and the selection of villages is very good. I look at this book often and wish I could visit all the places I see in it.
I order the cheapest books available, and this was exactly what I ordered. All the corners are chipped, and it's the most worn-looking book on my coffee table, but all the text and pictures are intact and beautiful.
