The material in this book can literally change your life because it is filled with timeless spiritual truths and wisdom that demonstrates how the creative power of thoughts can be harnessed for prosperity, success, or whatever we desire. It's part of my collection of favorite books, and I refer to it often for inspiration. My favorite chapter is "The Power We Have Within Us." Review written and submitted by Eddie Coronado, author of the Amazon.com book titled "Manifest Your Millions: A Lottery Winner Shares his Law of Attraction Secrets"

One of the most profound thinkers, and unsung teachers of metaphysics; a leader in the explanation of universal principles. A brief, brilliant, book used by all the Metaphysical leaders and teachers of our times.~

The question is not whether or not you are creative, the real question is what are you creating? You cannot not be creative. This is the way you were made. Everything that is in your life is there because on some level you manifested those experiences. I know what some of you might be thinking as you look at what is in your life, "Why would I create bad relationships? Why would I create money problems? Why would I create disease and health issues?"

For the most part, most of us create our lives out of default. We go through our lives unconsciously aware of what we are manifesting into our experience. Most of us are operating on beliefs that we are not even fully aware of. Most of us have not sat down with ourselves and asked ourselves what we really believe about God, ourselves, our place in the universe, what we are worthy of, what we are deserving of, about money, about relationships, about life in general. It may be difficult to understand that you really do play a major role in your life, but once you accept and embrace and embody the Truth that you can change your life, by changing your ideas about it, you will see how creatively empowered you are and have always been.

This classic book written by Ernest Holmes was his first book, I believe. Most of his books are overshadowed by his classic, The Science of Mind text. Which, if you are not versed in Holmes, is not the best book to start off with. Of course, I love it now, but when I first began to study Religious Science and read from that book, I found it pedantic and very cumbersome. I actually think and feel that this rather small book of less than a hundred pages (hardbound edition) should be the Science of Mind text...but that's just my opinion.

He writes, "Spirit creates through Law. The Law of Mind is always in action. Mind cannot act unless intelligence sets it in motion. In the great universal mind, man is a center of intelligence, and every time he thinks he sets mind into action..."

What he is saying in layman's terms is "What you think is what you create..." A lot of people really do not want to believe this and even if you choose not to believe this, it'll still be working in your life by showing up as something you don't believe. I'm sorry to be a "killjoy" in this review, but you really are responsible for creating your life. The world is in the "mess" it is now because for the most part we have all been "unconscious". We just thought that things happen. Nothing can happen unless we let it.

Here is something to think about. Fundamentalist Christians really want you to believe that Armegeddon is approaching. Could it be that we are actually going to have an Armegeddon because enough people believe it will take place? Kind of scary, huh? Could you imagine if we had enough people believing that paradise could take place, or utopia is possible, or we really could learn to coexist peacefully with others? You see, we are always using the same Creative Mind to think with and we will always experience (individually as well as collectively) the sum total of what we believe to be true.

Jesus the Christ said, "It is done unto you AS you believe..."

There is no other way. Your life up until now is a reflection of what you hold to be true, as is mine. I had an experience the other day where I was literally shocked that I still held some rather disempowering beliefs about myself. Not that I am perfect, but I am fairly conscious of the thoughts I am holding and when I thought those thoughts, I thought, "Oh, wow...those are not empowering at all. Next!"

Y'see, it really is easy to change our thoughts. The tricky part is keeping them changed. This does not mean you need to become fearful or superstitious about all the thoughts you once had, it just means that now you are ready to change them and even if you're not, that's okay. But aren't you ready to have a more fulfilling life, a richer life, a more abundant life. I believe you are otherwise you wouldn't be reading this review looking for a way to change.

Consider this review as your sign...but get the book...I promise you, you'll love it.

Peace and Blessings to you this day.

I've read (almost) all of Ernest Holmes' books, as well as many other metaphysical books in this nature. This is BY FAR, IN MY OPINION, his best one! Much more dramatic, effective and clear. If I had to pick any one of Ernest's books to be my bible, it would be this one. This is the first book he wrote, and I believe that's why it's so good.
As an intelligent being, I noted contradictions in Mr. E. Holmes philosophy. As a Christian, I believe Mr. E. Holmes has twisted biblical truth in an attempt to exploit biblical scripture.

I find nothing spiritual in content with this book, only attempts to solicit Mr. Holmes hypothesis on life. Mr. Holmes spend more context on explaining his new age theory on reality . . . where is the Creative Mind? Mr. Holmes attempts to explain that the mind/ word "is" the reality of all things, and that there is no two powers - evil is the alienation of man's inner self. I noted that Mr. Holmes quotes Jesus stating "it is done unto you even as you have believed," but he does not footnote the quote; moreover, he states scripture as proof to his philosophy. With this in mind, I also noted Mr. Holmes contradicted his theory by stating that there are no two powers, but based on the Bible (and Jesus) there are two kingdoms - Satin and God ("how can Satin cast out Satin"). Moreover, Mr. Holmes states, "some to go to heaven and some to hell," host that this is a lie. Mr. Holmes basis this idea on that we are "born of the spirit of God Almighty ... is as one with the eternal spirit." But in the Bible, Jesus clearly states that we are all sinners and we must be born "again" to enter into the Kingdom of God. For a man who is formating his philosophy on the principles of the Bible, he turned everything upside down and then makes himself into a God - Jesus states that "all is my brothers, mothers and sister that obey God's commandments.

In my opinion, this idealogy is classic charlatan worthless gimmick. You would think that a man could be more creative than to exploit God's word. Moreover, I don't remember reading any history that stated Mr. Holmes made the cripple walk, the blind see, or the make the dead alive again. I am surprised he was given an honorary degree. Based on mankind's history track, Jesus seems to always tells the "real truth": "a generation that murders its prophets," . . . and I say, but a society that decorates a man for bulky, useless babble instead of real TRUTH.
