I try not to judge a book by the characters' flaws, because everyone has differences and no one is perfect, however the flaws of the heroine were just too awful to over look. The heroine wants to keep her niece so she hides the bruises and evidence of neglect to the infant caused by the heroines twin sister. She does this so the family of the deceased father can not use this information to try and gain custody of the child, but by doing this the child stays in the custody of her child abusing sister. This is selfish, deplorable and completely unacceptable and does not protect the child!!! How this got past Harlequin editing I have no idea. The heroine also acts and speaks juvenile and I can not see anyone with at least one brain cell falling in love with this no matter how beautiful the packaging. I could not torture myself any longer by trying to finish this book.

I liked this book. I did think that she should not have held on to the lie as long as she did. I mean, he did not find out the truth until the VERY LAST chapter!!!! That was ridiculous. I wish that he had a few chapters to get to know and fall for her and not her acting like her at times and her sister at other times. Make any sense??? LOL!! It was a good book and I would have severely harmed anyone who would have bruised a baby like her evil sister did!!! Urghhh!!!! I do think this is a decent book to read if you have extra time or no other book to read first! I did like it but with so many books, this story line would have been a great one to read but the execution could have been better in the plot details, so I would have put it on the back burner for a while knowing he did not find out the truth for that long!

First, correction--baby's mama did not die. Liked the conflict, virginal heroine, who was 24. The hero is harsh to the woman the she is impersonating. There isn't an over amount of angst, and there is a lot of chemistry. Personally, I would have liked to see the bio mom get poetic Justice, and for the truth to come out sooner, but that's just a personal preference.

The heroine is very down to earth and likeable. The hero runs hot and cold for a while. but slowly turns out to be a caring and sweet once he realizes the heroine is nothing like his brother described her. You know the situation is going to implode once the hero finds out he's been deceived. Loved the ending. I would have liked it even more if the hero had located the heroine first.
This is the best Harlequin Presents I've read in about 4-5 books.

I love this love story of Marc and Nina, I couldn't put the book down. I love all the twist and turn of the storylines. I would definitely recommend this book to families and friends.

The story was a good one, one I swore I have read by a different author before. It was mostly predictable but good none the less. It won't be on my keeper shelve but a nice read one that I don't regret spending the money on. I absolutely hated the way Marco treated Nina throughout the story. I wanted her to stand up for herself more and I didn't like the ending regarding her sister, I won't give it away. If your bored and have a couple hours to kill go on and enjoy.

It's a well-written, heartwarming story about two good people caught in a web of lies. The heroine pretends to be her heartless twin sister to protect her vulnerable niece, and the hero, thinking her to be her sister, still falls in love with her in spite of her character flaws. You cheer for these two decent people as they find their happy ending.
The heroine is forced to become her sister in an effort to be in her niece life. She has to marry the fathers brother in order to become a part of her life. Good interaction between both characters.
