This book does a marvelous job of discussing the politics of the occupied territories in Israel from 1967 to 1975. It covers: the Land of Israel Movement on the Right, which was in favor of annexing the West Bank; the peace movement on the Left, which lacked a comparative umbrella group to the LIM until Peace Now came along; and the Israeli government. He also discusses the Bible background to the religious Right's claims on the West Bank and Sinai. This book is dated but is a very good alternate to or companion to Michael Breecher's 1972 "The Foreign Policy System of Israel.
