Applying what may be seen as a generalised financial-buffers approach to the analysis of disequilibrium, we find that loanable funds theory is flawed and should therefore be abandoned. A challenge to the neo-Walrasian general equilibrium. approach to monetary theory remains: that of justifying the idea that-by some ral prices correctly reflect technology and time preferences.

Patricia Joan Vinnicombe (17 March 1932 – 30 March 2003) was a South African archaeologist and artist, known for identifying and copying San rock paintings in the valleys and foothills of the Drakensberg. Her work transformed the study of rock art into a science. She was also active in the preservation of Aboriginal art in Western Australia.
