Published by London - Jennings and Chaplin, 1830. Condition: GOOD Hardcover. Contains the bookplate of Henry Batchellor Inman, of Batheaston, Somerset. Condition: In decorative half-calf binding with gilt detailing and paper-covered boards. Externally quite smart, there is wear to the boards, extremities, backstripand joints. The hinges are also slightly strained.

Bayley's History and Antiquities of the Tower of London appeared in two parts in 1821–5, and an abridgment was published in 1830. He announced, but did not publish, a history of London. He had also made considerable progress on a complete parliamentary history of England, and for this he obtained copious abstracts of the returns to parliament, 1702–10, from the original records in the Rolls Chapel.
