These Guia Roji maps are garbage -- sketchy, hard to read, poorly designed. Unfortunately, it's all you can get for some parts of Mexico. And if you hoped for a decent inset for Guanajuato or San Miguel de Allende, don't kid yourself.

Planning a trip to San Miguel de Allende and wanted to see where it is located in Mexico. Also wanted to see what other cities we could visit.

The Guia Roji maps and atlas aren't perfect but they are probably your best (often only) choice in Mexico maps.
I've used them for years and always gotten where I wanted to go, even if sometimes I have found discrepancies.
It's always important in Mexico to also ask directions, even with a map in hand, especially if you think you are lost because it's really easy to get more lost.
Beware though if someone just replies 'todo derecho' (straight ahead), because many people haven't been outside their own town and most don't drive. Also in Mexico one loses face if they say they don't know, so a person will usually give some sort of response. If I get that reply I always get a second opinion as soon as possible.
The maps are less expensive through Amazon than they are in Mexico, and it's easier to find all the states' maps. In Mexico Sanborns are usually a good bet but often have a limited selection.
