Practice test 1 of 2. Level 8 is the Primary Ed. and is one version given to children in second grade. Mercer Publishing took a shortcut on this practice book and reused some of the questions originally prepared for the older version of the test.

Practice test 1 of 2. Second graders can take either the Primary Ed. (Level 8) or Multilevel Ed. (Level 9) of the CogAT Form 7 exam check with your school. The result is that you get poor print quality because many of the questions have pictures that are designed to be printed a lot smaller than they are, and in color. To my surprise, one question in the 'Picture Classification' section had a dependency of the color of the objects outlined as answer choices.

Unlike assessment tests which measure what a student has already learned, aptitude tests are designed to measure intellectual ability, focusing on analytic and problem solving skills rather than specific knowledge. Select your grade level. The CogAT exam is made up of three sections called batteries (verbal, nonverbal, and quantitative). Good content, very much in line with actual test. Could have been a little slimmer if they had crammed more questions on each page. But I know this is nit-picky. Other than that, the book seems 30%-50% overpriced.

this is a rip off. the book is in black and white so it looks like it is a photo copied book!! some questions you can't answer because you need to see the clear picture and in black and white its hard to figure out the right option

This book sucks. Needs editor review.

A bunch of the questions have answers that are determined by the colors of the objects in question, with regard to association. The problem is that all pictures are in black and white!!!! In addition, almost all the pictures are blurry!!!

Another most irritating feature is that none of the answer choices are labeled A, B, C, D, etc.

Therefore, when checking the answer key, you must reference the actual answer rather than the answer key indicating which letter is the correct answer.

What?!?!
