Theseus: Battling the Minotaur (Graphic Myths and Legends). Graphic Myths And Legends. While the main story is the battle with the Minotaur (a common enough tale in the world of Greek Mythology), I love that this book gives more back story to Theseus, how he came to find his father and his adventures before traveling to Crete. It also doesn't go into the darker parts of the myth such as what Theseus did to Ariadne, his father's suicide, or Medea's conclusion. This is fit for a middle school audience.

He is forced to meet many obstacles along the way to claim his birthright, but the most challenging is his battle with the Minotaur, who is a half-man and half-bull. Theseus must enter a labyrinth, which is a maze and this is where the Minotaur lives. I really enjoyed reading this story and the graphics are just fantastic.
