My better half enjoys knitting and English Royalty.

This is a lovely book and has some great ideas and beautiful clothes in it.
Personally I don't like the dolls. I do however have a doll pattern by Alan Dart for a pirate that I can adapt the clothes for.
As I have a few of Jans other books I should have known that the dolls would be the way they are.
Don't get me wrong I do really like this book and am glad that I bought it.

Jan Messent's work is, as always, visually stunning. I own several of her books but it has taken me a few years to not be too intimidated to try some of her projects. For advanced knitters, I would highly recommend any of her books, but it was this one that got me hooked.

The book was delivered quickly and in excellent condition---I can always count on Amazon! I love the book--it's more than I expected. I've wanted it for a long while and getting it at such a great price just made my day.

I bought this book for my mother who loves knitting and she was very pleased with it. The first doll she tried was an Egyptian figure for her granddaughter who loved it. Great book with clear instructions that are easy to follow. The illustrations are great and the accompanying historical facts were very interesting. A great buy and highly recommended for any knitters.
