After reading many articles and seeing pictures of David Miller Co rifles, it was great to see that Tom Turpin picked up the mantle to write a book detailing the history of David Miller custom rifles. His friend-ship with David Miller Co has given him an insight into the Co not possible for an outsider. The Co shows a dedication to quality irrelant of cost, this approach is the same as used by the better Euopean manufacturers (taken to extreams by the British makers).

David miller produces totaly useable rifles although the very decorated ones(engraved) will not be used for hunting very often, they are all however accurate and reliable in function.

The book describes in well written text and fantastic colour the David Miller Co firearms.

I can only wish that Tom will pick up the mantle to write more books especialy on the European makers (Heym, Shults and Larsen, Mannlicher etc).

Note: Amazon still has the ability to ship their product at lightening speed for reasonable cost, well done.

Great photos (Rifle porn). Absolute perfection in function and craftsmanship and a look into the process of creating these master pieces. Then there's the other side to it
THE PRICE!! $40,000 for a rifle! So at least we have the photos to drool over.

I don't think there is anyone better than Tom Turpin when it comes to writing about custom bolt rifles. Detailed pictures and a lot of how its done makes this a joy to read and something to learn. It only applies to one maker of rifles but they are makers at the top of there game...Great Book.

Dad loved it! He read through it in a day!
Tom Turpin did an outstanding overview of one of the top custom rifle building companies in the United States. Well written and photography, as usual with his titles, is superb.
