Taking place between the third and fourth seasons of "Star Trek: Deep Space 9," "Fool's Gold" acts mostly as the first act of a television episode, setting up the plot without delivering anything of great interest on its own. However, it does set things up well, creating an intriguing mystery concerning why incoming traffic to DS9 has spiked, but outgoing traffic has tanked. The answer may lie with Quark, but he isn't providing any clues.

Good story, well-plotted but poor artwork. Plays to DS9's strengths.

I thought this was very neat story and loved the ending. Not as dramatic as the show but a nice story.

I cannot give enough credit to this graphic novel. The book captures perfectly the voice and dialouge of the characters as well as crafts a very DS9 worthy story with an ending you can believe, but even more so the story was very original.

If you are a DS9 Fan, you are not doing yourself any favor skipping out on this graphic novel, it was truly like seeing DS9 again.

The writers get the personalities of the characters spot on. The depictions of the characters range from excellent to average; Quark is excellent, yet Odo usually ends up looking odd. I look forward to the next DS9 series.

I was looking for a graphic novel of DS9 and came across this. Not sure what I was expecting - maybe something from the Dominion War or something. I did not get that at all. What I got was a DS9 Graphic Novel that felt like a real well executed episode without all the Dominion War Stuff. This is an excellent example of what a Star Trek Graphic Novel should be. If you a Star Trek fan this is a must read. Plus the art work is really nice.
